🐾 Swim at Lai Nair – a beautiful natural lake where dogs are welcome in the water
🐾 Cable car to Motta Naluns – dogs ride for free and alpine hikes start right at the top
🐾 Hike to Hof Zuort – a peaceful valley hike ending at a historic alpine farm
🐾 Walk up to Vastur – stunning terrace views above Sent (and sledding in winter)

Find the details for each outing below.

Cable Car Adventures: Motta Naluns

Dogs ride for free on the cable cars and chair lifts in Scuol.

That means you and your dog can easily reach the high alpine trails around Motta Naluns without a long ascent.

One of our favourite routes:

Motta Naluns → Schlivera → Mot da l’Hom → Alp Laret

This is a fantastic panoramic hike and perfect with a dog.

At Alp Laret you can reward yourself with a classic Kaiserschmarren on the terrace.

Swim with Your Dog at Lai Nair

One of the most beautiful places to swim with your dog in the Engadin is Lai Nair near Tarasp.

Dogs are welcome in the water and it’s the perfect quiet spot on warm summer days.

Important to know:
Lai Nair is part of a protected moor landscape, so please

  • stay on the official paths

  • keep your dog on leash

  • also keep them controlled while swimming

The scenery is stunning and very peaceful – a hidden gem even many locals love.

A Beautiful Hike to Hof Zuort

Hof Zuort is one of the most special mountain places in the Lower Engadin.

There are several ways to reach it:

• From Vnà – a gentle hike with little elevation
• From Val Sinestra – a beautiful forest trail uphill

There is also a small road with parking, but note: it’s one-way traffic, so watch carefully for oncoming cars.

The reward is a charming historic farm restaurant with a wonderful terrace – perfect for a relaxed stop with your dog.

Terrace Views and Sledding at Vastur

A very easy outing directly from the hotel leads towards Sent and up to Vastur.

It’s a beautiful walk with wide views over the valley.

At the top you’ll find a lovely terrace – a perfect place for a drink while your dog relaxes in the sun.

In winter there’s an extra highlight:

You can borrow sleds for free and sled all the way down to Sent.
